![]() ![]() Along with the MacBook, I purchased a Magic Mouse 2. I'm having a rather peculiar issue with my brand new MacBook Air (M1). Magic mouse loses scroll function Hi all, Now I'm left with no Bluetooth devices working on a $4,000 computer, because when I removed all devices, the debug menu changed. In fact, this appears to be a recurring issue with several generations of iMacs.I was considering upgrading iMacs even after two years, but nothing makes me believe this problem would be resolved. On top of it, I tried following these (Alan A (macOS High Sierra 10.13) Bluetooth devices disconnects by itself(macOS High Sierra 10.13) Bluetooth devices disconnects by itself) instructions to reset Bluetooth. I attend music school, and I would have heard if this was an Ableton issue. Yet switching to a different Mighty Mouse - or even a wired mouse - can bring the same result, albeit less frequently with a wired mouse. But this works infrequently.I had heard that debris can accumulate in the mouse itself, and cleaning it can help. ![]() ![]() There seems to be little pattern to this, save switching applications. Then Mighty Mouse use runs as expected for ten minutes or more, then the annoying issue returns. 6.0.2f2I use Ableton Live 10, although this problem often persists when using Safari:I will click on anything, and either the window expected from an option-click, or a control-click appears, and won't go away for a dozen or more clicks. Mighty Mouse 2 and wired mouse opening command or option windows when clicking I am running 10.13.3 on a late 2015 iMac.4 GHz Intel Core i7 32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3 Bluetooth vers. So at this stage I'm unable to pair the new Magic Mouse to my iMac as previously mentioned my iMac only has USB-A ports UNLESS I now go and purchase a USB-A Cable with USB-C connector.Īm I correct in saying that I now need an additional cable to get the new mouse 'paired' with my late 2013 27 inch iMac? After the mouse is paired, disconnect the cable to use your mouse wirelessly". Your mouse will pair automatically with your Mac. Slide the on/off switch to on (so green is visible). Plug the USB-C end into a USB-C port on your Mac. Plug the Lightening end into the Lightening port on the bottom of your mouse. "To pair your mouse with your Mac, use the USB-C to Lightening Cable that came with your mouse. To pair the new 'Magic Mouse' the supplied instructions say the following: New Magic Mouse (A1657) comes with USB-C to Lightening Cable. Purchased a new 'Magic Mouse', Model No: A1657, with a view of replacing my current old Magic Mouse (A1296) as the specifications say it will work with OS X 10.11 or later which my iMac is - Version 10.15.7. Magic Mouse compatibility with Late 2013 iMac Currently using an old 'Magic Mouse' Version 1, Model No: A1296 (the one with AA Batteries) which has started to 'lose connection' with my late 2013 27 inch iMac which is running macOS Catalina Version 10.15.7. After buying Apple computers for 20+ years, there is no contest - this is the most disappointing model by far. This issue is part of a very long list of stability & compatibility problems I've been dealing with since receiving my brand new MacBook Pro. Does anyone have a newer mouse from Logitech that's immune to these problems or found a workaround of some sort? I'd be afraid to replace it with a Bluetooth version. ![]() When I try to click & drag to select a block of text, it will spontaneously 'release', leaving only half the sentence selected. Click & drag seems to malfunction about 85% of the time. I'm worried it could be an issue related to the USB adapter one now must use with all USB devices following the infuriating decision to release the new MacBook Pro without a standard USB port □. The problems I've been experiencing have reached a level of disruption now that I am perfectly willing to buy a new mouse, but I'm concerned that the problem will continue. I am very picky when it comes to mice, and have had my Revolution MX for quite some time now. If it doesn't crash right away, it will definitely not respond as it should. I have been very patient & installed each update, but the software is still very buggy. Anyway, since these new versions of OSX were released, Logitech has struggled to maintain compatibility with the software used to manage their products such as webcams & mice. Please forgive me if this topic has been covered for some reason when I search the communities for other folks struggling with Logitech products since installing Sierra or High Sierra (I know there are many), there aren't any results newer than 2007. ![]()
